At this time of year, we often send care packages to those who are far away, or who have had a tough year. This year consider giving yourself a care package. A Self-Care Package, if you will.
It’s easy to run ourselves ragged doing for others, even though that’s what the season calls for. But don’t be so busy you neglect your own Self-Care!
I’ve been down with a virus for most of December and it has forced me not to run myself down. Evidently, I already was!
I’m taking it as a reminder that with the Internet and E-mail, the Holidays needn’t be a cause for exhaustion.
Technology has made our lives easier but in some ways it is more Holiday Hectic.
A good reason to keep Self-Care in your sights amidst all the wrapping and baking.
We look forward to the holidays all year. Don’t run yourself so ragged you are too exhausted to enjoy them.
Slow down each and every day for at least an hour. Lay down, listen to holiday tunes, get a massage or just chill. Take time to feel the joy of the season instead of just spreading it until you are spread too thin!
What will you put in your personal care package a fun gift for yourself? I’m the kind of lady who only treats herself if she has a gift card for it. You too? Maybe this year reward yourself for being the giver you are year ’round and be your own Self-Care secret Santa. Nobody has to know except you and Mr. Kringle, and he won’t mind a bit! Ho-ho-ho!
We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
