Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year. Ironic that it comes during the time we have the most to do. Who says Mother Nature doesn’t have a sense of humor?
It seems no matter how long or short a day is, the trivialities of “Life Stuff” keep us from taking the significant actions we need to create change. This day also happens to be when we cast the longest shadows due to the sun’s position.
Those long shadows may remind us of when we were stuck in the awful relationship. We no doubt had fleeting thoughts of escape. And with those thoughts came the inherent fears. How can we end this? Where do we go? What to do with all of our material possessions that seemed to fill ten miles worth of boxes?
Of course, when these things actually had to be dealt with, the reality was nowhere near our worst-case scenarios. It’s okay not to trust our catastrophic fantasies anymore. It’s not healthy for us to continue to live in that long shadow.
Let’s toss our worry-seeds into the winter solstice wind, trusting they will grow into exactly what’s needed to nourish us. Our own personal “Soul-Stice.”
Mother nature is promising longer days ahead where we will accomplish all of our goals.
We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together! And check out my book, “Restarting Your Life When You Are. No Longer A Wife” I wrote it just for you!
