Are you one of those gals who, when given a gift with a gorgeous bow just has to save it to spruce up a gift for someone else in the future? An, “It’s too pretty to throw out?” type? So am I!
I’m not a bow-saving fanatic, but exceptions can be made for exquisite bows attached to a gift given to me by a gal pal. If she is kind enough to adorn a gift with an exquisite bow, I’m compelled to pass it on. When we are talking bows, I don’t consider that “regifting” Not that there’s anything wrong with that either! This time of year is “regifting season.”
The holiday season has come and gone. But if you have not been into post-divorced socializing, I’m wondering if that’s because YOU are a pretty bow and haven’t realized it yet. The painful breakup of a long marriage caused by an Ex’s infidelity can leave us low, which is a three-letter word ending in o-w that is not like a bow at all.
Ladies, time passes and you can wrap the story of your divorce in any paper you want. But the gift of the phenomenal woman you are today is the same woman you were thirty years ago. And then some!
The girl in her young adulthood who adorned her husband’s life for so long is still very much alive. You are still her and no man can take your “pretty bowness” away! Ever. That part of you remains and is ready to share herself in a fundamentally new way. A way of her own design.
Have you ever thought of yourself as a bow too exquisite to be thrown away? Because that is exactly what you are. Get out of that gift-wrap bin in the closet.
You need to put your bow-ti-ful self out there and make someone’s day. Yours!
