Tilling the Topsoil of Our New Lives

When you till topsoil you have to dig down and turn it all over. This must be done any time a new garden is planted. Minerals are replaced and it makes everything planted grow better and stronger. Soil that is packed down and sandy needs some Miracle Grow worked in, so when a new garden is planted those new flowers can take.

They have the best shot after the shock of being removed from the containers they’ve been in all of their delicate lives. It’s a bit of an adjustment to the roots to be exposed to the sunlight and air. A lot of care is needed after transplanting them so they become strong again and resume their pattern of growth.

Mother Nature provides for all of this in the plant world. But in Relationship World and Restarting Your Life World, things are much more haphazard. Being pushed out of the life you have always known can stunt our growth for a while. Just like a plant, we go into shock.

Our new growing season is one of our own making. That is why it’s so important to nurture ourselves as best we can after being left. We don’t quite know how to do this. Gradually, our own instincts take over and we feel grounded in a new way.

Tilling our own topsoil is imperative. After moving out of the “containers” we’ve spent decades of our lives in, we realize we cannot grow until we turn over the past.

As we remain in quarantine from the virus we cannot control let’s not lose sight of what we can control.

When you turn the emotional topsoil that’s been hindering growth, well, that change you’ve been longing for? It’ll happen!. Take action. Whatever that means to you. It’s a tough decision to come to, this turning it over as if it never was. But it is our only recourse if we are to grow on with our lives. If you shed a few tears during this process, you will be okay. April showers bring May Flowers!

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
