Leftat50s, now is the time for us to Womanspread!😆That’s a word I made up that is the female equivalent of “Manspread.” To review, “Manspreading” is that annoying thing men do to take up as much space as possible. If there are empty chairs beside them, they drape their big arms over them. When seated, they spread their legs as wide apart as they can, even if that means up against mine!
“We need to start taking up more room in this world in everyday circumstances.”
This just happened recently. It was so uncomfortable. My personal space was usurped by a hairy man leg pressed right up against mine, at the end of which was a flip-flopped foot with yucky white callouses on it. This required me to move my leg, resulting in less room in my rightful chair-space!
Ladies, we must start doing our version of the “Manspread.” Women enjoy doing things together👩❤️💋👩,like going to tea, shoe-shopping and marching for equal rights.
That’s great, but it’s time to go deeper. We need to start taking up more room in this world in everyday circumstances. If there’s only a smashed loaf of bread🍞on the grocery shelf, we shall find a stocker and ask for a fresh one. When getting our oil changed, we will check to make sure there is actually new oil in the car before we drive away.
The time has come to live by this motto: “Little things are big things.” This means that we matter. We don’t have to stay small and let things go anymore!
