No longer have a Valentine? You’re going to be fine-tastic!

If you’re reading this, it’s because you no longer have a “valentine.”💔

Today is Valentine’s Day. The symbols of diamonds 💎 and romance clutter our eyes, instilled in us by jewelry stores and florists.

It hurts.

And the day drones on.

The “Attached Ones” try to council us on how to “Get through the day.” Being married they can never truly understand our Unvalentined feelings.

“Go get a manicure,💅 massage, see a movie, take a day trip, go on a shopping spree!” They enthusiastically advise us Female Singletons.

“I wonder if  50-something single men get this advice from their married male friends? “Hey Dude, get a back wax!” Doubtful.”

Let me tell you, this is NOT a lonely-hearts club. As a proud, card-carrying member of the Leftat50 female population, I can go do those “things for myself” any day I feel like it, and I do!

Since being left, every day is a special occasion. Hooray!🎉

I am not an Old Spinster or depressed or sad, but if you are feeling those things, it’s perfectly natural.

That pang in your heart? Feel it. You don’t have to stomp it down. This is how we get passed things. If you are living in that empty box of chocolates and want to pull the lid on yourself and stay rattling around in there all day – well, that’s crazy! Don’t punish yourself!

Keep this in mind on 2-14: It’s them, not us. We are beautiful in every way. Because we are free. Free of the Loveless Days and Nights we suffered through. For years! In my case, years and years….

We truly are all we need because all we need is self-love!

And living that is the lesson from the pain. It’s more delicious than any candy and its scent permeates our lives more than any bouquet ever could.💐

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I wi💐ll share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
