Don’t Look, Just Leap!

Today we get an extra day because it’s a Leap Year. What are you going to do with it?  Don’t tell me you are going about your business as usual. Do something you’ve been thinking about forever on this one extra day. It could be as small as saying hello to someone in the grocery store or finally taking a paddle board lesson. It could be traipsing around in those high heels you never wear but love so much.

Put. Them. On.

We need to get going and stop exhausting ourselves by weighing options.  Doing internet research with every facet of life. That’s the opposite of a leap day.

Looking at me, you would never guess that I have jumped from an airplane and both regular and back-up parachutes were tangled, but I landed perfectly even though it was a mile off course. For some reason, I was never scared. I just enjoyed the incredible above the treetops view. How’s that for a Leap Year story?

From that day forward, I am not a lady who is afraid of every out of the ordinary event. It’s part of living in Los Angeles in 2020. Yes, there might be a big car accident, or an earthquake, or crappy parking.  But I am not deterred because I know staying put will not produce the life I have worked so hard to obtain.

Listen to me. Take that Leap Day plunge. February 29th won’t come around for another four years. Consequently, there are really no excuses not be spontaneous. Remember those 365 other days when we can be sticks in the mud.

This is also called Time Refund Day so plan how to make the most of these extra twenty four hours.  Dig into that novel, go to that museum, heck wash the dog! Just don’t waste this precious gift of one more day.

Take note of all the activities the universe offers us. Maybe you’ll happen upon a field of beautiful flowers. Or a kind person. A cute top in that boutique you thought was too expensive, but today it’s marked down. Stop looking and get back your fearless leap Ladies. I know you want to.

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
