Lion-taming Our Emotions

When going through a breakup, there are a myriad of emotions and they all want to be expressed at once. Anger, fear, distrust, hurt, lack of confidence, exasperation.

But as the years go on, we have to think of those emotions, those explosive angry fang-toothed emotions, as wild lions that we need to subdue.

Return them to their cages. You are the lion tamer of your own emotions.

And when they come at you, en masse, you have to crack the whip. Make them retreat. Because that is not a way to live a life. To have emotions inside snarling all the time. At some point they just settle and learn to be.

A new kind of roar, with a goal of empowerment instead of destruction, needs to emerge.

Each Leftat50 lioness has developed a form of expression uniquely hers. It comes with the new territory she is guarding. Her ferocity is aimed at conquering goals and establishing her own pride. In more ways than one. Colossal lives need to be lived.

Aim your fierceness away from past hurts and towards future goals. There is no stopping a “Spirit: Can You Hear It Calling?”

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
