Hit the Road and Reject Another Turkey Burger!

This holiday weekend is a time to get out of your rut. Still struggling with Covid fears? A road trip may be your safest bet. Even if it’s only a day trip. The feeling of freedom that comes over you when you start a new adventure may give you the boost you are seeking.

Stop by a roadside vegetable stand? Why not? Perhaps it’s time to try a gooseberry. Your relationship may have hit a dead end, but it doesn’t mean that you will.

Why take the same old Main Road? We all know now that Life may steer us down some side streets we’d never considered. What do you know? We love it!

I’m not saying quit your job, sell the house and move to Belize, (Though I’ve been and it’s amazing! Humble brag.) I’m talking about minor departures from that daily existence. Sleep, eat, job, shop, walk after dinner, etc. It’s a long weekend. If a road trip seems too pricey, fit in a movie, maybe at a drive-in with gal-pals. Dinner at some exotic dining experience. I went to a place that included belly dancers with dining. I had a new respect for the hard work that entails and ate something called Tahchin with Chicken. It was a dish with yogurt and rice. Definitely a break from another turkey burger. A side road in my tummy.

These are some suggestions to get you thinking. There’s still time to plan something fun. Stop playing all those games on your phone that you got hooked on over the pandemic. Head for the hills, or the ocean, or someplace you’ve never hiked before if that suits you.

Life begins again when you decide to start it. We’ve all started over before so it’s really no big deal.

All of us are way past due to reacquaint ourselves with our independence. From turkey burgers and life in general for merely a few days.

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
