Motivational Authors Are Making Women Nuts

Motivational authors are making women nuts with their book titles alone.

The Must Read lists are packed with lengthy tomes that send the message that we have ALOT of work to do. There are way-too-many channels and websites, talk shows, seminars and conferences and books and workshops and magazines.

How many qualified know-it-alls can there be who actually “know it all?”

An internet search of this topic was astounding and proves my point.

Google “Top selling motivational books for women this week” and Five Hundred and Twenty Million results appear!!!!

This bummed me out so I decided to refine my search to: “Books published in 2018 for women’s self improvement.” Astoundingly One Hundred and Sixty Seven Million titles came up!  Just for 2018!!! (Note: 2018 is far from over)

No wonder women are stressed.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but women’s books seem to have very long, detailed titles: “Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are So You Can Become Who You Were Meant To Be.”  No stress there.  “15 Things You Should Give Up to Be Happy: An Inspiring Guide to Discovering Effortless Joy.”   Phew!  I ran out of air on that one.  Must we nix 15 things?  I’m up for maybe 5, tops.

That got me to do more thinking for myself, sans experts. If I know why I hold myself back, then I also know how to move myself forward. I can “Move My Own Cheese!” take myself from “Tears to Triumph!” and “Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life…and Maybe the World”  all on my own.

Isn’t it time we conversed with our own internal motivational speaker? The one who’s been telling us to go back to school, learn to play the ukulele, run that marathon?

I have noticed these motivational types are always dressed really well, so I suggest you motivate yourselves to the mall.  That is the end of my advice.  I gotta go eat some cheese. I mean move it, yeah, move it into my mouth.

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
