It seems I always have a lot of change rattling around in my purse. I put it in a big cup from time to time, and when it’s full enough, I cash in all those pennies and see what dollar amount emerges. It’s always a surprise of some sort: either it’s only a few bucks, or it’s way more than I imagined. I can never tell on my own – until I take the action needed to make the most of it. In a real way.
This got me to thinking about change in general. Change(s) that are needed in my life. I am carrying around many, many ideas about Future Life Changes. They are in my noggin’, rattling around. But I have not yet cashed any of them in. I know if I did, if I could just find the time, the inclination, the where-with-all needed to do this, my life would be richer for it.
For sure.
But still I carry around my armfuls of “Never-Dones.” They weigh on my psyche. I know the time to take action is now. And I have not a clue as to what is holding me back.
