After the sudden passings of Carrie Fisher and her Mother Debbie Reynolds, doctors👷are bringing up the prospect of “Broken Heart Syndrome” as a possible cause of death.
I had heard of couples that were married for decades passing within a few days of each other, but I never knew there was an actual medical term for this.
“There are all kinds of ways our bodies react to the ending of a prominent relationship, and self-care is very important.”
It seems emotional conditions can play a large role in the way the heart actually physically functions. Such is the connection that two people can have.
When my relationship ended, I must admit, I had medical problems as well. I was sluggish and anxious.😣I felt unsettled, jittery, sweaty than cold. I went to the doctor and got a complete physical. My doctor actually changed my blood pressure medication as a result of that visit.
You just never know. I share this with you Leftat50’s, because I feel it’s imperative that if you feel “out of sorts”, that you consider seeing your doctor.
I say this not to scare you in any way. But now that I know it is a scientific fact that your heart can temporarily enlarge or have electrical problems, I feel I had to share this.
There are all kinds of ways our bodies react to the ending of a prominent relationship, and self-care is very important. Debbie and Carrie lived right next door to each other until the end. That kind of bond is understandably hard to recover from once it is permanently broken.
SO Rest In Peace to Carrie and her Mom, they truly shared a bond, now unbroken into forever.💖
