Megyn Kelly’s Fat Shaming Fiasco Really Takes the Cake!

It’s been quite a year: We’ve gone from the empowering”#NoSizeFitsAll,” campaign, to Megyn Kelly’s fat-shaming fiasco. No matter what side of the “female perfection spectrum” you may fall on, aren’t you more than sick of being made to feel you are not the “standard of beauty?”

Smashing down that phony ideal, one that has plagued women for decades and caused untoward suffering (eating disorders et. al) may be one of the most empowering by-products of the New Feminism Movement.

But with one little revelation that perhaps was supposed to be funny, Megyn Kelly’s acceptance of being called a “fat ass” as part of her diet plan really takes, dare I say it, the cake!

Perhaps “Back Peddling” will now become part of Megyn’s fitness regimen.

From the time we are little girls playing with our dollies, females have been programmed that they all must be thin to be attractive in American society. This has caused a variety of “beauty” trends to take hold every few years.   Some women are even tattooing make-up on their faces forever.  God forbid they not be made-up in their sleep.  It makes me sad.  You too?

Casting aspirations at any and everything women wear, or eat, is the opposite of empowerment.

Women of Megyn’s public stature need to not just be more responsible, they need to get an empowering point of view about their own looks and those of other women.

Just like men, women come in all shapes and sizes.  Do men of public stature sit around commenting on how fat looking or old looking other men on television are?  No, they do not.  So Miss Kelly, if you really want to “Settle for More,” than please “settle for” respecting other females a whole lot “more”.

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
