He’s not thinking about you. That thought that he is or might be or will be…THAT is the Rotten Apple that is sitting in your pantry. That dark place where you are still storing things. Old things that are now past their expiration date. Those old “what if’s,” “maybe one day he’ll’s” “maybe if just’s” are dusty hopes of shattered dreams. You are done with those now.
I know you want to hold on to it. It seems crazy, but it’s an ache. “I just can’t do this. I must keep my Rotten Apple”.
Well, I have a crazy radical idea. Let’s pretend all of the above mentioned pains, ideas, and memories are symbolized by that Rotten Apple. Do you see it? Good. Now, I want you to take that apple and eat it. Now. Eat it. One bite or five bites or whatever it takes to get it down the hatch. Picture yourself eating it. Because guess what? You’ve eaten rotten things before. Lots of them. And you’ve been just fine. Haven’t you? Absolutely nothing happened to you.
This is a way of ingesting the rotten version of your truth so you get it off the shelf once and for all! Isn’t that what you really want??
You know how when there is an actual tree of fruit, you can only pick the ones on the lower branches to eat? The other ones, way up high on the tree look so delicious! But you can’t reach them!!! That’s why you have to eat the Rotten Apple. Because once you do, you will instinctively know how to reach that bright, red, juicy perfect one at the top. The one you’ve always seen but never dreamt could be yours.
Pick that perfect Top of the Tree Apple now. And put it on your “psychic desk”. A new semester is starting. You are your own teacher. Plan your Life Class Schedule. Whatever makes you happy. What do you want to major in during this semester? Food? Fitness? Travel? Sex? Bubble Baths? Cooking? Dating? Pedicures? Moving? Job Change? Pick one. Pick three! Pick five!
Then take your big juicy bite, and go to the head of the class, cause I know you’re gonna ace it!
We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
