Do You Ever Cross His Mind?

There is a country song out now with the lyric, “I wonder if I ever cross your mind?”  Do yourself a HUGE favor – stop wondering this.  For several reasons, the foremost being that the answer most likely is, “NO.”   He has left you.  Built a new life.  He does not think about you – ever. He does not wonder if he ever crosses your mind.  You know that.   So, do yourself a huge favor and practice the idea of NOT thinking about him.  It may be difficult if you were left recently and are still dealing with his mess.  But certainly you can see that this is much healthier then some fantasy that he is thinking about you.

This is a baby-steps thing.  You will not be able to shut it off immediately, especially if you are still healing from the myriad of crappy things he did to you.

So, here’s a list of Other Things You Can Think Instead — “Thank God the misery is gone.” “No more wasting my life on a relationship that wasn’t giving me what I needed.”  “Live for myself, honor myself today.”  “Little by little, every day, I will feel better about myself.”
