In your miserable marriage, it was probably impossible to speak your truth. Much like these abusers in the news, cheating husbands prefer to ignore their own behavior towards their wives. Somehow they feel entitled to cheat, to lie, to put us down and try to keep us there. The sad part is that sometimes we spend our first year of freedom putting ourselves down. Echoing their ugly perception of us.
Chasing our own point of view is the key to the Life Restart. Fears fall way as lovely days go by. Sunny, quiet days. Threatless days. Songs of birds instead of silent stares. Doorbells of friend’s arrivals instead of door slams.
Oh what we were living through! And we didn’t even know.
There’s that saying, “you don’t know what you don’t know.” Well, you do now! You know what you know. So share the joy. With yourselves and probably a few girlfriends in horrible marriages who are still “Sticking it out.” It’s Time.
