You Are the Champion of Your Own Life Series

Am I the champion of my own Life Series?

The Cubs World Series championship got me to thinking.  It took them 108 years! But still, Chicago believed. An entire city.  Generation after generation.

I, on the other hand, have never had that kind of unshakable belief in my own Life Series.  Have I robbed myself?  Unlike these athletes, I have not given this whole starting everything over thing my “all.”  Especially after the life chaos of being Left at 50.

Isn’t that a good excuse to stew for awhile?  Perhaps.  But there are many ways we fool ourselves into not even trying.  It’s time for me to stop telling myself that I am still warming up for my next move.  That’s crazy.  It’s time to play ball!  For reals, (as they say).

How is that done, exactly?  To be honest, I don’t know how you go about it, but I have a notion that there is no right way.  There is only the way that works for us.  We all need to stop figuring it out and just go do it.  We can’t spend our lives in the bullpen.

“I am ready for my first at-bat and don’t give a hoot if I strike out.  The point is, to take the field and go for it!”

We all read about “inspiring stories” of women who “triumphed over tragedy.”  Why can’t we be one of them?  Seriously, if there were a story written about your life today, what would it say?  Think about that.  If you are not satisfied with that story, than what steps can you take to change it?

You can’t take the steps if you don’t know what you want.  But you do!  I know you do.  So, we all must stop hesitating and step up to the plate!  People are waiting for us to share our talents, our stories, our knowledge, and our hope with the world of other Leftat50’s who need inspiration.

If you were someone’s inspiration, how would you inspire them?  Do that.  Do that for yourself.  If you need to take classes or get training to enable you to do that, then go do it!  Don’t for gosh sakes, keep stopping yourself.  I know it’s hard sometimes to make big decisions about our own lives, but there is also an exhilarating side to actually going for it.

We aren’t getting any younger.  We are past the seventh inning stretch.  Be bold.  Every day is a new “at bat.”  It’s time to make some Herstory!

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
