Wellness Wednesdays are trending. How great for Leftat50’s to have a weekly reminder to practice self care! Restarting an entire life leads to a long list of actions that have nothing to do with health and wellness. This can lead to Brain Fatigue.
Nature’s Remedy is right outside your door. Take a walk in nature if possible, or be the crazy City Gal who feeds the pigeons.
Another way to think differently about daily actions is to add variety to your diet. Let’s call it “Food For Thought!” A tablespoon of something beside “Clover” honey, anyone? Head out to a farmers market. This helps local farmers and will teach you there are myriad types of honey, each with different healthy properties. In other words, “Bee” kind to yourself.
Listen to a new podcast. Watch the movie that makes you laugh the hardest. Take an online tutorial and learn something new. Find a free neighborhood class and give it a go: Sandbox Fitness, anyone? This is not to pressure you into having more stuff to do. It’s a gentle reminder that a cup of green tea on a Wednesday afternoon can actually be a form of meditation.
Go to Pinterest and look up “Breakfast Toast” and try a new Toast Topping every Wednesday. Why is this a suggestion? Um, this author found a way to sprint out of bed on Wednesday mornings to prepare “Toast Topped With Blackberries, Honey and Almond Butter.”
Giving Wellness Wednesdays a try just may help you forget about “getting over the hump,” and into a few moments of midweek joy.
