Mid-Life Summary: I Don’t Know How To Pick ‘Em

When I take my Mid-Life Summary, I must determine that I don’t know how to pick ’em.

Going all the way back to high school when I dated a drug-dealing-pot-smoker who was in college, it’s apparent there’s always been some disconnect…

I’ve named the book that’s in my head about this situation, “Smart Woman, Bad Man Choices.”  Do you have a copy too?  I bet you do.

The psychology behind this phenomenon is best left to the experts.  My dear Leftat50’s, we needn’t analyze our past decades just so we can cast aspersions upon ourselves.  We are after all, part of a massive global club. Instead of kicking ourselves, we should hug each other and celebrate the fact that we made it through!

Let’s be the “Turning Away From Negative Crap Generation!”   The “Onward-With-Life Smilers.”  There are enough people beating each other up in this world. We needn’t join in with our vestiges of self-criticism, self-doubt and all the other negative “self” titles.  Let’s expunge them along with the title “Mrs.”

Even though we were walked out on, we have triumphed.  The smile in our eyes confirms this.

Before this nasty life event happened, I had no idea that wrinkles could disappear.  My tight eyes and furrowed brow have retreated from my face!  Guess what?  It turns out when you are not living in a constant state of hurt and anger, facial muscles actually relax and take a hike!  You see it too?  Why sure you do.

Bright lipstick colors are in and we all have a happy face to use as our canvas.  Buy that fire-engine red lipstick to highlight your “frown that has turned upside down.”

Do I care that much that I Don’t Know How To Pick ‘Em? Hello no! I’m tearing up my self-written copy of “Smart Woman, Bad Man Choices” and so should you!  We have wonderful stories to tell about ourselves now.  Chapter One: I Love My Life!

We all go through major life transitions when relationships end… Through this website, I will share my thoughts as I walk the path of “New-Self” discovery. It doesn’t matter which side of 50 you are on. The real question is, Are you ready to live life? To forge a Path of Your Own Making (For a change!)? Then stop dwelling over the What-Might-Have-Beens and join me. Share your thoughts here, comment on mine, and let’s do this together!
